A soft thudding sound could be heard as a large, dark figure approached. His eyes narrowed and he looked over the land. It was his. He walked over to one of the few trees that sprouted out of the tall grass. About an inch of snow covered the ground and and a small chill swept over the dark brown stallion as he looked once more around him. Yes, I'll take this, he thought, and then, without warning, reared up on his hind legs, letting out a loud below. The sound rang around him and he saw some horses about half a leaque away lift there heads and look in his direction.
Thunder smirked, this place was his now. He kicked up again, one last time just for good measure. He shook his head, his mane tossed from side to side. He trotted in a circle and then looked out over the land that was now his. A sneer spread across his face as he looked around. He would have her yet. He would. He would just have to be a bit patient. But patience was one thing he lacked.

Miracle trotted on the land near the horses. She stopped underneath one small tree. Her eyes shifted to all the horses as she lowered her head to graze. As flies landed on her neck, Miracle shook her brownish-black mane, shaking them off. She raised her head to look at all the horses and then took off in a playful way with one other horse. Miracle gave a playful buck and reared half-way.
Her voice rang as she gave a playful whinny nipping some of the horses. She wanted to play, but they all seemed to just want to lay around an be lazy. Frusterated, Miracle shifted her brown eyes to see a stallion claiming the land. With in moments her ears were against her head as she watched him. Miracle did not question him though before she walked over to the river and sipped at it.

Thunder looked around once more, his attention now going to the horses he had seen moments before. A certain mare caught his interest pretty quickly. She was standing my the river, taking a drink. She seemed pretty young, and rather playful. He had seen her before attempting to get the other horses to play with her. He studied her, his gaze calculating as he tried to decide whether or not it was worth it to go down and chat with her. He decided to do it. What harm could it do?
So with a small smirk on his face he trotted down the hill and down toward the river. He slowed to a walk as he approached and then called a friendly greeting. "Hello," he said, his tone generally friendly. His ears perked forward, showing slight interest, but otherwise he waited for her to do something or say something.
A long time ago he had learned that it was easiest to trick mares into trusting him and then force-breeding them, which happened to be one of his favorite things to do, than to just go up to them and trying it. If he tried the latter, he usually got a kick in the face. Midnight had taught him that. He still had a small scar on his left hind-quarter where she had nipped him and another scar over his right eye where she had given him a good kick. It still hurt occationally when flies or something else brushed against the scar. The good thing was that both scars were relatively well hidden. The part of his mane that was between his ears and went down his forhead covered the scar on his face, and the other one just looked like any other normal scar that a stallion might have.

Miracle suddenly felt annoyed at the fact that she wouldn't be able to stay on this land unless she was to join the herd. She wasn't one to like herds. She would rather be out exploring and getting herself into trouble than to be staying in a herd where she had to follow orders from other horses.
Her eyes looked to the horses grazing and felt a certain feeling of eagerness. She still had energy and was wanting to play more than anything at the moment. Miracle gave a sigh of boredem as she searched the land for a horse that was atleast walking around. As she passed the area, Thunder had been, her eyes suddenly jerked back. Miracle cocked her head to the side. He wasn't there anymore.
Feeling anxious, she checked again aroudn the other horses. Miracle quickly shurgged it off and went back to sipping the cold water. It was when, Miracle heard the voice that she lifted her head in a fast upward movement. The dun mare saw the stallion that had claimed the land. "Hello," she said slowly. What did he want? He had claimed the land...which could mean a many different things.

Thunder smiled, "I'm Thunder," he said, his tone generally warm and welcoming. He was a good pretender, and he was an adept lier. Lies came to him as easily as air. It had become second nature. While that wasn't exactly a good thing, Thunder didn't care.
"Are you part of the herd here?" he asked casually, knowing full well that she wasn't. He had aquanted the other horses already, and this mare hadn't been among them. Thunder always did that before claiming a land. It made it easier to take control. When he did he knew who he had to watch out for, and who he had to keep an eye on.

Miracle glanced over him before keeping her eyes on him. She smiled a bit, her wariness showing though she was trying to hide it. "I'm Miracle," she said as kindly as possible. Unlike Thunder, Miracle was not a good pretender. She had never been a good lier even when she didn't try to.
"No, I am not part of the herd. I prefer to be a loner and explore," Miracle answered him. She was more of a traveler. She would go from land to land spending some time in each, but more or less with the herd. Miracle would prefer to play and explore the grounds around her.

Thunder frowned, "Thats too bad," he said, and then smiled feintly. "If there any chance I might be able to change your mind?" he asked. He still totally faking it. In his mind he was planning on how best to go about this. He looked at her curiously. His ears perked forward slightly. The mare seemed very wary, and didn't seem to be very good at hiding her emotions. That made him a bit amused.
Especially since he guessed that she had no idea what he was planning, or who he even was. That came as a slight surprise to him. Most mares knew him or had heard rumors about him. But then again, he guessed it was a good thing that she hadn't. It made it easier to get along with them or to get them to trust him.

Miracle shook her dun colored head. "I'm sorry, but I...uh...actually really like to have free roam. I normally travel from herd to herd staying for only a little while. I'm never actually part of the herd." she told him. She didn't feel bad. Miracle loved her free roam and liked to be able to go where ever when ever she wanted to go. She just couldn't keep her emotions from showing. Yes it was true, Miracle had never seen or heard of him, but that was probably because she was new to the whole area.
Miracle hadn't heard of any stallion but Princeston because he was one of the stallions that moved her with Legacy and Legacy happened to be one of her best friends. Miracle shook her head once more but this time shaking flies off. She lowered her head more stretching before returning to look at Thunder.

"What a shame," Thunder said. "Well, if you change your mind, you know where to find me," he said. He was in a good mood today. Normally he would have forced her to stay, but if she didn't want to, well that wasn't really his problem, was it?
He glanced over the other horses that were several yards away and then back to Miracle. He tilted his head to the side slightly, but then shrugged. It didn't really matter. "Well, have a nice day," he said with a shrug, and turned to go. No use wasting his time chatting.
