It was early morning. Midnight, Princeston, Desire, Ty, Aro, Lily, and everyone else was in the cave. Very slowly Lily lifted her head sleepily. Her ears swivled to her left as Midnight snorted softly in her sleep. Lily closed her eyes for a brief moment and then carefully got to her feet. She glanced around and then walked as quietly as she could around her sleeping mother and to her other side where her little sister Desire was still snoozing. "Hey, Desire, wake up," she hissed quietly, nudging her little sister with her soft, velvety nose. She glanced at her mother as Midnight shifted slightly in her sleep and then looked back at Desire. "Pstt....Wake up," she said again.

Desire slept against her mother with her muzzle laying on her front hooves. She was just about to get a really good part of her dream when her sister nudged her trying to wake her up. Lily was doing a pretty good job at it too. Desire lifted her pure black head blinking her eyes open. "What?" she whispered to Lily. She slowly stood up being as quiet as possible. Stretching, Desire flicked her ears and looked at Lily. She looked to the outside of the cave to see gray fog covering the mountain. A sneeze escaped from her as she sniffed the dense air. "What is it?" she repeated herself to Lily.

Lily grinned, "Lets go explore. If we go now, Mommy won't know and we can be back before she even knows we're gone," she said in a hushed whisper so she wouldn't wake the others. Lily had become known for being the adventurous type. She absolutely loves exploring and didn't care too much about rules. She had even decided to go with the motto "rules are made to be broken".
Glancing around, Lily took a few steps toward the entrance to the cave, "Come on, it'll be fun," she said, really hoping her little sister would come along.

Desire looked at her mother laying still and asleep. "But what about dad? You know he's always watching the herd." she said in a small voice. She took a few worried looks around the area before giving a sigh of submission. Desire took a few steps forward so she was right next to her sister. "If we get in trouble this is your fault," the little one warned her sister. Desire was a calm and sweet-natured mare. She liked adventures, but she didn't like getting in trouble especially when it came to Princeston.

Lily grinned, "Dad won't catch us," she said confidently and began to make her way around the sleeping herd members, moving softly. When she reached the cave opening, she glanced around and then dashed outside. "Come on, hurry up," Lily called softly behind her, before making her way toward a small worn trail that led down to the valley below. It was still very early in the morning. Mist covered most of the valley below, so they couldn't see the ground below. Somehow it made it even more exciting in Lily's opinion. She grinned and glanced behind her to see how her sister was keeping up.

Desire shook her mane out as she stepped around sleeping horses. She heaved a sigh and walked to the entrance. Taking one look behind her, Desire trotted out and down after her adventureous sister. She upped her pace on long, wobbly legs trying to catch up her sister. The fog covered the ground, but apparently that didn't slow Lily down. After a few minutes of getting used to the ground, Desire caught up to Lily with a small smile on her face. She loved exploring..it was just the part of getting in trouble that made her worry. She never liked getting in trouble by her parents.

Lily nodded to her sister as Desire came trotting up behind her. But then she turned forward again and continued down the path. This trail was very familiar to Lily. She had come here many times. The trail was well worn and easy to follow. It led downwards for about half a kilometer and then came to a cross section. The trail then split into two seperate trails. One led downward, the other led upward. When they reached this place, Lily turned toward her sister again. "So. Want to go down to the valley? Or would you rather go up and have a looksie around the peak?" she asked.
