There was absolutely nothing on this scene that bothered her. There was nothing here that would ever move her more than she had already been moved. There was nothing that would ever cause her to gasp, shiver, or roll her eyes in distaste of fear. There was nothing here that could dare to put her off of her eerily calm mood.
She was just chilling by the ocean, taking keen interest in the thin, whip-like grasses that grew along the shores there. Her gentle lips quickly ripped away at the smooth vegetation. She was at peace right now, just eating away as nature intended, as she now knew as her only "normal".
Her ears were perked in minute interest at the sound of crashing waves, hissing hot sand being dumped with water, and the coo of the wind. It was a beautiful symphony and it was all her secret pleasure at the moment. Her own sound track was on a forever replay. No one would stop it, even when she was dead. Maybe it was truly not her sounds to claim, but she very well liked the way they sounded and didn't enjoy when the childish squeak of a sea gull brushed into the background like an unruly background dancer trying to get front stage.
She raised her head, eyes still calm. Her ears were back though, but she continued to chew regardless. Her ears were one of the few things that truly showed her emotions any more. The obvious thing was that she was now very annoyed. Her teeth clanked as soon as the grass was swallowed. "Get lost."
The sea gull only retorted with an ignorant squall, further pushing the mare toward an angry fit. Her dark eyes blazed and the dark liver colored animal suddenly rocketed, determined to show the sea gull she meant business. Music didn't care who saw, personally.
The sea gull quickly flew off, knowing that the horse would probably run over it and not care. After all, they were not kin nor were they friends. Why should a horse even consider the slaying of a sea gull a sin?
Music snorted, content that the sea gull had flown off. She lowered her head, sniffing at the grass. She didn't eat of the salt filled stuff again. She would need to return inland by the end of the day and drink lots of water. For now, though, her belly was full of funny tasting grass and she was at ease to be serenaded by the ocean.
