Storm inclined her head slightly, "Nice to meet you both," she said. She studied Aro for a moment then looked at Ty. She smiled slightly. "Do you guys have any idea how much trouble you'll be in if you get caught over here?" she asked. She honestly didn't really think Midnight or Dahlia would come over here. Dahlia was probably busy with her own busness and Midnight was probably also.
She grinned, "Not that I think you'll get caught. Do you guys want to play a game?" she asked. She was getting a bit bored justs standing here.

"Nice to meet you too, "Ty smiled, then added: "Probably a lot."; he wasn't looking forward to that at all, but he knew something would happen sooner or later. Maybe it wouldn't be anything too bad or maybe it would; he just knew that something always happened whenever Aro dragged him on one of his little adventures.
Aro grinned. "I don't think we will either. I'd be really surprised if any herd leader had the time or interest to come out this way." he smirked.
Both twins' interests were perked by the mention of a game and they nodded in unison. "Sure!", and "What game?" were their immediate answers.

Storm smiled at their reply to whether they should play a game. She thought for a moment then shrugged, "Well, we could play tag, hide-n-seek, wolf and foal, or........pretty much anything," she said.
Suddenly, her ears perked forward as the sound of a howl broke through the chilly spring air. "What was that?" she asked sharply. Her head turned in the direction of teh sound, her eyes suddenly widened with alarm.

The twins listened intently to Storm as she rambled off a few ideas for a game they could play, both considering what they thought would be fun. Tag could be, and wolf-and-foal fell under a similar category.. Hide and seek could be difficult, considering there was so much grass but very few rocks high enough to hide behind and such.
Just when Aro was going to respond to the suggestion, the sound of a howl broke through the air and he snapped his mouth shut, eyes widening. "It..s-sounded like a wolf.." he couldn't help an instinctive shiver of fear for the sound, memories of the day his mother had died saving him resurfacing. He didn't ever want that to happen again..No one would ever die because of him...
Ty nodded in agreement. "It sounded kind of..close.."he commented worriedly.

It had indeed sounded rather close. And then Storm remembered what Dahlia had said Midnight had told her. Midnight had told Dahlia that wolves had moved into her territory but that they had been driven out...into The Hills. And now they had just heard a howl, that sounded alarming like a wolf howl.
Storm twisted around, her eyes flashing nervously from side to side. "That was a wolf......but I don't hear any other howls, so perhaps it's just the..." she saud but was cut off as yet another howl ripped through the air. Swiftly followed by another, the last one even closer than the first.
Panic began to ebb up in Storm. Her instincts were screaming at her to run. To flee!! She looked at Ty and Aro and then back toward the sound of the howls. The howls were coming from within The Hills, cutting her off from running to her herd. "What do we do!?" she asked in a frightened whisper.

Aro remembered the wolves with a mixture of regret and fear; he knew they had been chased from the Mountains after the damage they had done, but it hadn't occurred to him to wonder where they'd gone.. They had simply ceased to exist in his mind even though he knew that wasn't really accurate.
"D-definitely wolves.."he stuttered; the eerie howls and the fact that there were more than one made him as sure of it as he could be; wolves traveled in groups just as horses did..
The brothers moved in unison, both seeming to almost quiver with their fear, but they moved onto either side of Storm. They both knew they wouldn't be much of a detterrent to the wolves, but they also knew that males looked after females- even if they were only colts and a filly at the time. True, Aro was obnoxious and rude and a bit of a block-head at times, but he couldn't not defend her.
And Ty, of course, not only followed his lead but agreed with him. Storm seemed like she could hold her own, but it was traditional for males to protect females. That was what the herd system was for, the claiming of many mares to a stallion..It was for protection of the individual and the species as a whole.
"I-I would say run, but...We can't outrun them if they know we're here...and we'd never make it to either herd.." he scuffed nervously at the ground with a hoof, eyes wheeling nervously as if looking for a way out- or an enemy.

The presence of both colt on either side of her comferted her ever so slightly. She knew it was traditional for males to protect females, so she wasn't going to act indignant and say she could fend for herself. It would only waste time.
She could tell that both colts were afraid. That wasn't comferting at all, but it would have been stupid if they weren't. A foal had no chance against a wolf, much less a pack of them.
Storm glanced from side to side and then nodded in agreement to Ty's words. "The wolves cut us off from my herd, but we wouldn't be able to outrun them to your herd........ Do you think they know we're here?" she asked.

The wolves again.Dante slouched against the rock wall of the pass. There was only one; the other side opened directly on the valley below. He was headed downmountain, and pretty close to the valley floor. The things on the ground only looked like squirrels now, instead of ants. Lovely view.Even if it was more strategic than 'scenic'. He could see them from here- about five of yesterday's hunting party. He guessed the other two were the second howl- out past the prarie in the trees. They definately looked like they were closing a trap. Now what could they be...? He wasn't rescuing a deer. Not today. If those wolves were hungry enough to try to snack on him, they needed the food. The bard scanned the ground. Nothing, nothing, more nothing, rabbit- Three foals. Mother fucking shit, that changed everything. Dante levered off the rock like a shot. Like it or not, those wolves were having another run-in with him. [[It occurs to me that both Dante and Road (and myself ) are real potty mouths. Tell me if it starts bugging you.]]

Storm's thin legs began to quiver with fright. Which way should they run? They couldn't go to her herd. They couldn't go to their herd. They couldn't run in either direction and running along the border seemed rather stupid to do too. So what should they do?
Storm frowned and then glanced at Ty, and then at Aro. Suddenly she heard a howl from behind them. Shoot. The damn wolves were encircling them. That made the mountains a defininet taboo.
The young foal frowned and glanced around. Perhaps someone would come rescue them! She doubted it though. No one in her herd knew she was here, and she doubted they would guess if they noticed she was missing. The same probably went for the two colts.

"We're trapped..." Aro's voice was just a thin rasp, as if he was having a hard time getting air through his panic. He was alright- scared out of his hooves and feeling just terrible that he'd gotten his brother into such a mess again- but other than that, he was fine. He didn't know how they were going to get out of this; there really was no way of escaping..
"There's too many of them.. If we split up, they'd probably catch us all.. A decoy would be useless.." Ty was mostly thinking out loud, muttering even as he scuffed his hooves along the grass-and-pebble laden ground. The next howl of the wolves, though, jerked him right out of his contemplating and had a shiver of fear coursing through his lanky frame.
"They definitely know we're here.." he said softly in response to Storm's question; there was no doubt the wolves knew and were closing in on them.
